About the painting:

Sometimes we get so lost in our daily lives, struggles, demands, obligations, masks, all the haves and have nots, and all the seemingly super important things, that it is hard to maintain that connection to our true self. And often it's such a gradual, slow, almost imperceptible process, this scattering of the little parts of ourselves. Sometimes it's a big thing that just severs that connection to our true/higher self, temporarily.
And then something happens - a meditation, the words of a loved one, an encounter with nature, a poignant section in a book, and I am reminded of my true self. Who I really am. And the reconnection is such a relief, such joy ... such a coming home!
